Former Nine Inch Nails alumnus, Rich Patrick and Brian Liesegang apparently got out when the getting was good, forming their own band called Filter. They recorded their entire album on computers in the basement of a rented house in Cleveland, Ohio--and now they're taking it on the road. Yes, they play real instruments on stage. And that is where the problem lies. On-stage at the second day of their tour at Hurricane in Lincoln, Nebraska, Patrick was so "out there," wailing on his guitar with such manic energy, that the neck of his instrument caught his compatriot, rookie guitarist Liesgang in the mouth. "I never saw so much blood in my life," was Filter's manager's hysterical response. Liesgang ,who looked a little stunned, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where two missing teeth were successfully reinserted in his mouth. As for Filter, they never missed a beat, and finished the set without Liesegang. Bloodied but not bowed, our tour warrior performed with the band the next night at their show in Omaha, Nebraska.
