ALL-STAR CAST TO JOIN FILTER A follow-up album to the awesome Short Bus is starting to take shape. Filter, or at least a portion of the band in the form of Brian Liesegang and Richard Patrick, reportedly have laid down 11 of 15 tracks for a new, as yet untitled disc. The boys are making use of their newly built recording studio, and they hope to be joined by a number of guests to "enhance" the album. Names being bandied about (pun intended) include Chris Isaak and members of Alice in Chains and Porno for Pyros. Filter hopes producer extraordinaire Flood will perform fine-tuning duties. Drummer Matt Walker, who served as temporary replacement for Jimmy Chamberlin on Smashing Pumpkins' most recent tour, is expected to contribute to the album. Look for it in stores in September.
